Previewing Purchase Orders

Hi:

An SAP Business One for SQL user who is on 9.3 PL06 has an issue that has come up just this week. It has never happened before and only happens with item-based purchase orders. This does not happen with service-based purchase orders.

Just this week, clicking the "preview" button to preview the purchase order prior to exporting to PDF is taking at least five minutes. The length of the purchase order does not matter. If the purchase order has only one or as many as six line items, it still previews very slowly.

The user reports no issues with the internet or other apps. (I asked her about the internet and the network, in general, since they are on the cloud.)

She has not changed her default printer. And the purchase order layout has not been modified.

What could be causing this "slowness" in previewing, and what is the remedy?

Thank you!

John

Hi Bala:

That checkbox is already checked.

Also, I stand corrected. The purchase order was modified by someone on our Development Team.

By the way, I tried the Preview myself. I experience the same "slowness" issue.

Then, it could be the table connection or any sub report link which is causing the slowness. Unless we know either the changes done by Development team or having the crystal report sample, we can't further troubleshoot.

Hi John,

Try this,

  • Open the layout in Crystal Reports.
  • File --> Page setup
  • Make sure No printer - Optimize for screen display is selected
  • Save the file and import to SAP B1
  • Check the preview now.

Note: It is normal that the first preview will take longer time.

Bala

Dear John Ellis,

Below will be the chances:

1. Internet connectivity is too low.

2. Your server utilisation is high on same time.

U personally check at your end, how much time it is taking to you to get preview of same PO and then check at user end too.

Best Regards,
