BOPF CDS Delete Operation

HI All,

I am working on a Requirement where we have to change Work Order Header and it's operation. I have created custom BOPF object for Workorder and operation using CDS annotations. I have also created UI application for the same where i have list of work orders on first screen. On select of order we will navigate to detail page where i have header fields as well as operation table. Now in editing mode when I click delete button for operation, it deletes that entry from draft table. So delete functionality for child node(Operation) is taken care automatically by BOPF framework.

But when I follow some standard BOPF objects like I_MAINTORDERTP/I_MAINTNOTIFICATIONTP. I observe they have created custom 'DELETE' action for Order Operation or Notification item. Now I am confused how and when this action is triggered. If BOPF framework handles the delete functionality for child nodes automatically then why do we have these DELETE action in standard BOPF objects.

Can you please suggest.
