Hi gurus

In R/3 yesterday night at 8.00 pm we scheduled stock initilazation in R/3 for 2lis_03_bx and also at 9.00 pm for BF. Today after noon when i saw the status in SM37. BF is completed where as BX is still active..In setup tables i could see the entries for BF, but in BX it still says 0 records.

How to trace the issue and how can i fix it up.

Thanks

Rak

hi rakesh,

I guess u r loadin data to oic_c03 cube. for that the first 2lis_03_bx should be loaded succesfully then only we can further load with 2lis_03_bf source.

check whether the data present in the r/3 side.

refer to how to do doc on inventory management

Hi

Thanks for the replies. Yes, you r right. if R/3 and BW go live at same time we dont need BX. In my scenario R/3 gone live 4 months ago. Here my problem is its been almost more then 14 hrs filling up BX setup tables is still running but no records arrived in setup tables. we scheduled BF after scheduling BX. BF is completed long time ago where as BX is still running is R/3. Its still active in SM37. Any kind of help is appreciated

Hello Rakesh,

Try loading BX first. Once it is completed try to pull the opening stock in BW. Then try laoding BF.

But for this, you will now have to delete the set up tables for BF. also will ahve to stop the BX run(which is still running).

dont forget to delete the setup tables before reschduling.

Hope this helps...

thanks,

(please dont forget the points if the answers help...)

Hi

Can anyone tell me what does it mean by CUTT OFF date in BX and BF.

Q1. What is the significance of cutt off date?

Q2. Is it mandatory to give cutt off date?

Actually BX is for historical and BF is for historical and future as well.

So where should we mention the cuttoff date in filling up the setup tables screen. Please provide me the information.. i am struck here...Thanks in advance

hi rakesh,

Bx is used only for updating opening stock balance only not for historical. just this is used only for stock initialization. so thats why when r/3 and bw r simulatneously going live there is no need of loading openining stock balance as there will be no opening stock balance. so need of bx source. Even the historical data and future data loading will be done by bf source.

refer to this thread

cheers

Hello Rakesh,

BX is meant for the intial opening stock upload. BF loads the all the docs related to the same.

If R/3 and BW are going live together, you can skip the BX step.

Also Please go thro' the detailed steps to set up inventory scenario. you can refer to the HOW TO guide for the same.

also regarding the current issue, please wait for the BX to complete. ideally it should have taken less time than BF.

if there are few records for BF. you can still skip the BX step. Take init records of BF.

Only the difference here will be(if u skip the BX), the marker has to be updated for BF.

the normal flow is the marker is updated for BX and then its not again updated in BF init. then it is regularly updted for furtehr delta records.

Hope this helps...

thanks,
