Hi,

I wanted to add a button on this screen for me to preview an Official Receipt Form. Anyone who knows what Business Object is this? Attached a screenshot for reference. Appreciate all the help.

Thanks and Regards,

JM Angeles

I don't know the BO but you can't add a button to an existing screen. Closest thing you have is adding a checkbox element and then triggering on the AfterModify event of the node you added the element to;

You can add these in the UI Designer using the Extensibility Explorer. These changes are restricted however.

cianbarrett could you help me find how (as far as I know you can only add a button in a section of a pane, and only if it's a link (OBN) to another screen).

cianbarrett Yes please. Can you tell how to add button on a certain screen?

Unfortunately you can only add Actions to ESF2 Business Objects. You can learn about them here on this Blog: SAP Business Objects supporting Node & Action Extension. Business ByDesign is a little bit more restrictive than Cloud for Customer.

In regards to the Adding of Custom Actions to screens, this screen has the option to but because it's not tied to specific BO, it doesn't seem to have access to any Custom Actions.

So currently I don't think the this scenario is possible for IncomingCheque.

cianbarrett Hi Cian, upon trying this scenario you gave, I tried to enhance the screen OIF of incoming cheque. But upon clicking the custom action, there are no choices found. Should I declare something first? Or the custom action is declared by default? Or it is really not possible for incoming cheque?

Hi JM,

This screen pulls information from different BOs so It's not tied to a specific BO. The screen though is SAP_BYD_APPLICATION_UI/fin/pm/pmonitorowleco in the UI Designer.

Hope this answers your question!

Hi Cian,

Does this mean that I can add a specific button "Preview" on this screen? I need it to preview the documents.

Thanks and Regards,

JM
