SAP CAL Remote desktop number of user

Regarding the CAL SAP S/4HANA Fully Activated Appliance solution: Is it possible to allow several concurrent users simultaneously connecting to the Windows Remote Desktop ? The Getting Started Guide mentions a limit of 2 concurrent sessions only (one for user Administrator and one for another user which needs to be created first on the remote desktop). Can this limit be changed ?

Another possible solution might be to deploy several remote desktop servers outside of CAL
(e.g. via AWS Console; based on AWS AMI), and have different users assigned to different remote desktops.

Hello Rupert,

this is due to Microsoft licensing requirements. If you provide your own RDP license for more users, that might do the trick (I never tried it though).

Hi!

Yes, it's working this way. We use it for the CAL of a S/4HANA 1709 and a 1809 that way.
