Hi All,
Is it possible to increase the length of the item number in Item Master from 20 Char to say 40 Char?

Just Curious but, why would you want to have an item number that long.. ?
One of the customers their item code needs to be 36 characters long, and this is a must for them.
We are proposing to have a User Defined Field.
Yes a udf would be the only method open to you.

Unfortunately what you are asking is not possible nowadays. Don´t know if in new versions is planned to increase it.
