sdb_instance_activate error

Hello,

I try to install Netweaver 7.5 with MaxDB on the Linux VM. However, I get an error during the installation: Error during execution of command identifier 'ACTIVATE' ". In the log files, it's written: <DBMException -24988 ERR_SQL SQL error -2014,Identifier too long>. What can be the issue? VM name/host name consists of 12 allowed symbols and I don't know, where else shall I look for too long identifiers. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I can add log files information, if needed. I just don't know, what files shall I add here.

1. Could you check the Max DB status ?

2. Check the amount of disk space used and available in the Linux file systems.

Hello,

If I understand the questions correctly:

1. fast DB is running, slow is offline;

2. at the moment, in the middle of the installation, 38 GB were used, 51 GB are free.

Hello Jordi,

Please check if the password length is longer than 9. If yes, redo the installation, this time please specify the password length <=9 for maxdb user, like superdba and control.
