UKM001 relationship is limited to 999:999. Can we alter this behavior?

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement in our client and looking for your valuable inputs.

System: SAP S/4 HANA 1709 FPS02

Subject: UKM001 relationship is limited to 999:999. Please suggest if it is possible to have more number of lower level credit accounts for one higher level account.

Background: The client wants to establish higher-lower level credit account relationship. They want to have one higher level credit account for around 3500 accounts. While doing so we are getting following error.

This is because we have following configuration in place. T-code: BUBA

Issue: If we check Carnality field, the maximum value possible here is 999. However client needs to establish over 3500 lower level accounts. Can you please suggest

1. Is this a best practice to have so many BPs connected to a higher BP?

2. If any of the existing clients you worked with/know of had this requirement in past and how did they address this requirement.

3. Do we have any customization point/configuration available to alter this number and achieve this requirement.
