Is SAP WebIDE mandatory to enhance standard Fiori applications ?

Dear All,

I am working with S/4 HANA 1503 and in process of upgrade to 1809. We are activating Fiori applications in our system and there was a client requirement to enhance certain standard Fiori applications also.

Right now we are using Eclipse to create custom Fiori applications.

My question is can I use Eclipse IDE itself to enhance the standard Fiori applications or do I need only SAP WebIDE to enhance.

Since Web IDE is licensed, I need to be very clear before I commit anything.

Can anyone please guide me on this?

Hi,

Yes, you need a WebIDE(personal or HCP) to extended standard Fiori apps. Web IDE Personal edition is good enough to extend apps.
