SAP EWM determine incorrect access strategy

Hello EWM experts,

I have configured 2-step picking in my warehouse number. To enable this, I have maintained an access strategy with 2SP checkbox and made at the first search access in the table.

It works fine for the 2-step picking process.

However, this check also affects other processes as well. With the entry with 2SP, the sequence of which EWM will check is

1. 2SP active and the WPT

2. 2SP non-active and the WPT (which functions just like an entry with only the WPT)

This is not correct because if the delivery is not relevant to 2 step-picking, the system should move on the sequence 11.

Have anyone found the similar problem with 2 step picking tick in the optimization of access strategy?

Is there a way to overcome this issue? Do I have to maintain everything with 2SP checkbox?

Hi,

well, S/4HANA 1610 is "ancient history" :-). So I can not try that. And it is difficult to follow this one up when not all tables are visible (you have several entries in the optimization table).

But indeed I have an issue in my EWM9.5 system when I enter a combination of 2sp and WPT in the determination and the optimization. It works ok if I use only the 2sp flag (which should be ok, the WPT does not really matter) - but of course that should work either way.

So I would recommend to open a ticket if the system does not work as expected. I will probably do the same, but an internal message might not be processed in this millennia...

Hello Juergen Pitz,

Sorry for being unclear.

I'm not saying that the system directly uses 14. It still uses 10 but because the delivery doesn't have 2-step relevance, the system just ignores that indicator and search for an entry with WPT in the search table. This just LOOKS like it is using entry 14 but it is not the case.

To reproduce the issue

1. Create a search sequence with only WPT

2. Create a search sequence with WPT and SRCI

3. Maintain the SRCI in the product master

4. Maintain the access strategy with 2 entries

4a. 2SP and WPT

4b. SRCI and WPT

4. Create a 1-step picking outbound delivery

5. Create warehouse tasks and see the search sequence is determined wrongly

Not sure if I'm missing any SAP notes.

The EWM is embedded EWM 1610

Hi,

so you mean the system is not considering sequence numbers 11, 12, 13, but directly uses 14? How did you figure this out? You have an entry in the determination table for stock removal indicator, process type and quantity and the information is there?
