Electronic Bank statement External transaction type NTRF & one more

Hello,

i've setup the EBS for our client , for one of the banks though the requirement for outgoing remittance is as follows

All external reference for outgoing remittance will be shown as "NTRF" in the bank statement but for netting transactions it will appear as "NTRFNETTING" and this must be posted to another GL account

61:1809210921DD1605433,04NTRFNETTING

Now i cannot use External transaction type "NTRF" for two different set of posting rules hence i made use of Search string and defined the settings as follows

search string : NTRF

DESCRIPTION :NTRF

Search string ; 04NTRFNETTING

and assigned it to positng rule

but even after this it is not picking up this configuration and reads the line as NTRF and posts to incorrect GL account.

Am i missing some thing?

What i want to understand is why the upload is not reading the search string and onlytaking NTRF.

Hi Lewis,

I kind of have / had the same issue as you, It looks like, at least in my case that not all External Business transaction behave in the same way although the setup is Identical.

For examle with a given ExtTran say 111 I have different results than with 222. Until now I was not able to figure it out but maybe you`ll have some more luck.
