ABAB CDS view

Hi Guys,

Need urgent reply on one issue. There is one CDS views on HANA-ABAP perspective due to "AuthorizationCheck: # Check" i was not able to see output, so i created a new CDS copying the entire conetent and also gave "AuthorizationCheck :#NOT_REQUIRED". (see pic- ZMATLDGR).

Now i can see the data.. See attached Output data--

But the problem is, When I am moving to HANA modeler perspective --> exapnd schema-->select view folder--> search ZCDS -->(ZMATLDGR). I can see the view but not able to see the content. (see pic)--

Hi Deo, I have not yet updated Hana modelling session client with ABAP client, but what i observed that no users session client is maintained with ABAP client.

Hi Ashutosh,

Check the default client maintained against your user id that you are using to connect to HANA DB in Modeller perspective. If it is blank get it updated with your ABAP client value in which you are executing the CDS View and getting the data.

Hi Ashutosh,

In HANA Modelling go to security ->user - >double click on your user id. Your user id detail will open up. You will be able to check there itself.

1. You do not need to copy the view to enable data access, you just need to create a DCL source (Access Control) and enable consuming user to see the data from it.

2. You should not mix ABAP CDS with HANA modeling - choose one or the other. In S/4HANA context that is the ABAP CDS way. This is what SAP recommends.

Thanks for your advice.. In such case how i can consume ABAP CDS views dierectly in Lumira designer.

I saw some related post ,its confusing..

@Analytics.datacategory: #CUBE and @VDM.viewType: #COMPOSITE will helpful to make CDS views directly consumable in Lumira Designer ?

This is authorization issue, please connect with your BASIS and Security team to get access for viewing contents of modeler objects.
