Hi Gurus, I have two companies (Comp A and Comp B) with Sales Organization (SO A and SO B) respectively. Now, one company is going to close its operations but we need to extend our Division from Comp B - SO B to first one. What is the best practice to do it? Should I create a new one in Company A and assign it to SO A and create Sales area or there is any other option available. Secondly, what about customers of Comp A. Will these be extended to new Div and Sales area automatically or it has to be extended manually? Need support as usual. Please guide.
Hi Farrukh
You can use the existing division itself. When you will assign this division to your Sales Org. and create a new sales area it will be a separate sales area from the old one. All of your reporting and controls parameters would be different from old sales area.
Regarding customer and materials master data, you need to extend all to new sales area. Customers will have new sales area and materials will also have a new sales org which means materials will also be extended.

Hi Moazzam, appreciate your immediate response which is really helpful. Further can you pl guide me on extending customer to new sales area when I have large number of customers (for example if in thousands). Is there any procedure to extend them all from excel list to new sales area? Will be obliged if you can pl spare your few minutes further.
