Converting a characteristic to keyfigure through formula variable but the values are not matching

Hi All,

I am trying to convert a characteristic called "Variant" (Data type Numc) into keyfigure to fetch its highest value

for which i am following below steps:

1) Creating formula variable using replacement path and reference char. is "Variant"

2) replace variable with "infoobject" replace with "Key" and offset start 0 offset length 2

3) Creating a formula which contains this formula variable and keeping variant in row

Now the issue is the formula is not returning values similar to variant but either 0 or after sum changes in calculated tab its showing 1 or numbers from 1 onwards in sequence like 1,2,3,4,...etc.

Searched all the related blogs but not getting any helpful answer.

Please help.

Hi All,

I set offset length to 2 while the length of that char was 5 , so changing the offset length resolved my issue.

Can you show the output of the report and the setting of your formula variable?
