Hello experts,
We currently have 300+ users active on IBP. Most of them are still working on the Excel Add-on version that they received during the different roll-outs of our project, so we have users on 1711, 1802, 1805, 1808 and 1811. We would like to start upgrading everyone on a quarterly base to the newest version, for example 1902.
Is there any recommended way to do so? Our IT department indicates that the add-on first needs to be uninstalled before a higher version can be installed. Ideally, they require MSI files instead of EXE files to do this, but these are not available on the marketplace.
Is there an easier way to mass update all our users to the latest versions or any recommendations?
Thanks in advance
Kristof
Hi Kristof,
The versions having the same product code is expected, as mentioned on the KBA below:
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2603587
You should be able to get the related MSI file once by accessing the C:\windows\installer directory and find the related installer via timestamp when you execute the normal installer once.
Best,
Ivan

Hi Kristof,
Please refer to the Silent installation instructions available on the following SAP Note:

Hi Ivan
Yes, but our IT Infra team informs us that as the Product ID of all IBP add-in versions are the same, the uninstall and install doesn't work via SCCM with silent install.
This is how they have set up the silent install:
How can we proceed?
Best regards
Kristof
