line item status change when convert quotation into another quotation

Hello,

I need a clarification on the line item status updation in the quotation for the following scenario.

when we convert the quotation into sales order the line item status obviously getting updating which is okay.

In our new business requirement sales team about to create a quotation AAAA then the engineering team about to convert them into another quotation BBBB then to order CCCC. In this case the line item status of the first quotation AAAA still open eventhough we converted it into another quotation BBBB.

Is this a standard behavior?. If so suggest any possibility.

We are running on ECC 6 EHP 7

Please check the completion rule on the item category and the settings for the document flow on the copy control settings for the quotation.

Thank. It is because of blank entry in the positive and negative quantity field in copy control.
