SAP GUI Windows issue with HDPI display example RSA1

Hi everybody,

I'm using SAPGUI 7.50 last patch on Windows 10 with HPDI display with resolution (2880x1800) and zoom settings set to 300% same issue using notebook like Microsoft Surface or similar.

On Windows applications everything is ok, but with SAP especially in RSA1 or RSDMWB or SE80 there are some problems with the layout the icons bar is not correctly displayed, some menus are cut off, some parts are too smal.

Please take a look to the following screenshot when you can see also the version of SAP GUI, Windows and server side plugin.

On server side we've already install the following SAP notes but not all the issues are solved:
2395430 - RSA1 Transaction does not display correctly in high DPI display - SAP GUI for Windows
2387865 - Buttons overlap in transaction RSA1
2387068 - P20; AWB: Height of controls for extremely high screen resolutions
2106323 - SAP GUI for Windows: DPI scaling of Windows will be supported
2161108 - Improvement of SE80 display for high DPI settings
2541592 - Display issues when using SAP GUI for Windows with high DPI settings
2449277 - Adjustment of error list for high dpi setting

Please SAP help us to solve the UI issues on HDPI monitor with windows zoom settings greater than 100%

Anyone can help us to solve?

    Hello Claudio,

    this is an application issue.
See my SAP Note 2767962 - Objects in splitter container displayed cut off in Belize theme or when higher DPI / font settings are used for more information.

To make it short: The application uses a CL_GUI_SPLITTER_CONTAINER with absolute mode. This means the application specifies in pixel how high the container is supposed to be. SAP GUI cannot overide this setting. The application must correctly calculate the right height and send this to SAP GUI.

My recommendation would be to open an incident on the respective application component.

    Best regards,
    Frank

    Hello Claudio,

    Are you using Hana?

If yes, does the issue also occur with the Fiori theme?

We actually recommend 7.60 at this point, since 7,50 will be out of mainstream support soon. see note 147519 - Maintenance strategy / deadlines for SAP GUI for Windows / SAP GUI for Java

    • Not using HANA (as you can see in the screenshot) I'm using SAP BW 740

Same issue on SAP GUI 760 :(

It seems related to the backend and not only to the SAP GUI release
