What is needed for managed system to talk to solman

Hi all,

Recently we have done an upgrade of sap solution manager 7.2 sps3 to sps8 .I would like to know what are all the plugins that needs to be upgraded so that the managed system can be propelry configured to the solution manager. Please help.

Hello,

You should update your ST-PI and ST-A/PI plugins in your managed systems, so you will get the latest roles for solman users in managed systems. Also upload the latest version of Solman RFC roles from note 2257213. Then just update user roles (you can do it in batch using the manual attached to the note 2257213).

The connection itself is done by creating RFCs during managed system configuration (for ABAP systems) or during the configuration of Admin user, connecting diagnostic agents to CA Introscope and deploying Byte Code Adapter (for JAVA systems).
