How many ABAP CDS views in S4HANA 1610 are released?

Hi, I am exposing existing SAP ABAP CDS views as OData so that we can provision them through Dell Boomi for external application like Tableau.

I see there are 1800+ CDS views available when I check and export list from Query Browser. This excel has a column called release Status and value is 0 or 1. 0 means not released and 1 means released. When I checked how many consumption views are with status 1 means released then I see only 7. I see 1700+ consumption views which are not released. Where are hundreds of CDS views I am told is released by SAP.

I do see many FIORI apps but SAP has enabled many tcodes as FIORI Apps and they don't have CDS views at the backend.

Does that mean when SAP talks about Embedded Analytics then they just talk of FIORI Apps which are basically SAP Tcode provisioned to be used via FIORI too.

Thanks Dmitry. I looked into your method. It does not take into account what is released by SAP and what is not. Assuming that you ran your query in S4HANA 1809. I saw your number was more than 1800. Now here are the details from Spreadsheet I exported from View Browser of Fiori Launchpad. You can always create your own S4HANA from cal.sap.com.

It has total 30819 CDS views. Including Basic etc.

It has total ONLY 1406 SAP released CDS views including Basic etc.

As SAP advises to expose Consumption view, I filtered and there are 117 ...Please note ONLY 117 Consumption CDS views which SAP has released in 1809.

So what are those remaining 29413 CDS views which are not released. I don't know. But we cannot use any of them as SAP would not support.

So I am highly disappointed to see just 117 released consumption views in most recent S4HANA version. Your query lists too many which are not supported by SAP.

Thanks, I did the same. As you can see at far right hand corner we have option to export list. I exported and then released and not released came as 1 and 0. This way in Excel I could do count very easily.

We are upgrading soon to new version 1809.

As of now in 1809, we have around 1553 released views. So going by this figure, 1610 is a 2 years old release now, so it would be lot less than this figure.

Also, the correct app to look into the released views is - View Browser app. Please check this link here for more details.

To view the released views, choose this app, then choose the option - Released Views.

Hi Mohit, Can you tell which version and SPS your S4HANA 1809 ? When I created my own S4HANA then I see just 30819 total CDS views and 1406 released. Not 1553.
