How to use the Switch in module pool

Hello Experts,

I am new to the 7.X and I find that there is a switch addition to the module pool statement. Is there a example for this one where this can be used. How to maintain this switch and what is the controlling condition for this. ie. switch is based on what ??

Create a switch yourself, attach the module to it, and switch on/switch off to see how it impacts your program at run time.
