Extend Decimal Place in Eur Currency

i need to change the decimal Places in Eur Currency . Can it possible because I have so many transactions in this currency.

Please guide.

Hi

First check the currency for the country code in OY01 (IMG > SAP netweaver > General setttings > Set countries > Define countries in mySAP systems) and then contact your basis for decimal notion settings.

Setting has been done from their end but I want to know that Can we change the Decimal Place in current scenario where SAP is running.

Hi,

Its not suggestible to change the decimal for a currency in a running system. If you go to OY04 tcode to change the decimal, system will be giving multiple warning messages with the system design, consequences and possible inconsistencies. You may read the same for more details.

If you need more decimals, you may copy the existing currency code, create new with required number of decimals. You can maintain the exchange rate for the new currency alone and start using the new currency for all new transactions.
