Error enabling trace for server-side Javascript on HANA cloud Trial

I'm trying to set a trace level for a server-side Javascript application that I have built on a HCP trial account.

The instructions I have are to set the trace level in trace configuration but when I try that for "Database Trace Level" I get the following error:

Error in setting trace level: InternalError: dberror(PreparedStatement.execute): 2 - general error: change not allowed for tenant database

The column "System Trace Level" does not allow change.

Can anyone help with the step I am missing to enable the trace?
