Capacity gets disappeared from capacity view in planning book

Hello All,

There are 4 alternate resources for the same location and the capacity for 1 resource is not appearing in the planning book - capacity view.

What could be the reason ? When I run the capacity extension report then it comes but again after 3-4 days it gets disappeared.

Calendars of all 4 resources -- same

Resource master data looks to be fine- hours are maintained for each day (and this one is missing from planning book)

Please help...

Regards,

Prabhat

Just an observation - The capacity from the planning book disappears on Thursday and again it comes back on Friday.

Not sure about this behavior. Due to this the orders are getting de-allocated every week.

Which processes / program might be doing this ?

Please suggest.

Hello,

Are all four resource same? Please perform the resource consistency check for LC through transaction /SAPAPO/REST02 and /SAPAPO/OM17

In the resource master (/SAPAPO/RES01) tab "General Data" the resource capacity data define into future, e.g. 999 days. Then please check the planning book again.

Thanks Brahmankar - I checked all 3 options as mentioned by you and all looks to be good.

could there be any other reason for this. I can not run the capacity extension report all the time as it deletes the firmed orders.

Hello,

Please refer SAP note 550330 - Consulting note about resources in APO

It suggested report /SAPAPO/CRES_CAPACITY_LENGTHEN

Regeneration of the liveCache resource using transaction /SAPAPO/REST02 or the report /SAPAPO/CRES_CREATE_LC_RES should be executed periodically. I an not sure it will delete the firmed planned orders.

Also what are days maintained in resource capacity data define into future and past?

/SAPAPO/CRES_CAPACITY_LENGTHEN de-allocates all the firmed orders so business is not in favour to run this.

Past and future days are sufficient to cover the horizon - Past 100 days and future 900 days.

Hello,

You can test the report /SAPAPO/CRES_CAPACITY_LENGTHEN in your quality system .

As I know it should not delete any orders. If it delete the firmed orders then open message to SAP.

Hi Brahmankar,

I noticed that Bucket Capacity in "SNP Bucket Cap" tab - is "0" for some dates in the horizon and those are missing in the planning book.

What could be the reason for "0" capacity and that also for some days only. ? Capacity is available after Week 31.

Hello,

Check the factory calendar work days. In resource capacity profile check if you have used the Stand. Available Capacity or any Variant.

You can regenerate the bucket capacity by using All Bucket profiles option
