what is exact difference file and cts/cts+ transports in pi..please give exact answer

In CTS + you select the objects into a transport list and then release the transport for higher env. to import the same. In this case the objects are encapsulated and saved at XI server level.Also a Transport number is assigned to the list as per you project landscape to track it.

For file transport you can download the objectlist locally to your machine as a .tpz file which can be imported into higher env. directly using import design or configuration objects.
