LA and AB confirmations both MRP relevant

Hello,

We would like first entering an order acknoledgement for VSA (Vendor Scheduling Agreement) once vendor confirms the dates and quantities for next shipment. This AB confirmations should be MRP/ATP relevant because it is critical information for some components.

Later (2 weeks later normally), we receive an ASN from the vendor that will create an inbound delivery in our system with a LA confirmation. This LA confirmation should also be MRP relevant but then we have 2 "requirements" in MD04.

Is there a way that would allow us that LA confirmation "consumes" the AB confirmation?

An alternative would be that the LA confirmations are not MRP relevant because they normally contain the same information than the AB created weeks before.

What is the Abbreviation of all types of Confirmations in PO on the below listed:
1. AB :
2. GW:
3. ZP:
4. LA:

In MD04, LA confirmation will consumes AB confirmation. You can see in ME23N - item detail, tab confirmation that LA confirmation will fill 'Quantity Reduced' field for AB confirmation. This is SAP standard. I am using confirmation control '0001' with 'Always POD relevant' condition.

Please check again your config for 'confirmation control key'.

That is what I thought as well. We will run some tests according to your suggestion (key 0001 with POD). We don't have POD relevant in our own keys.
