SAP HANA create synonym build error

Hello exprerts, I want to build a synonym conenction in SAP HANA. First i create Schema in my database, after this i create a Table in my Database called PRODUCT_SEGMENT. When i now try to create a synonym that pointed to this table then i get the build error: THE "PLAIN.PRODUCT_SEGMENT" synonym target does not exist

I already trid to delete and create the database agan but it will not work =(. I follow this tutorial by the way https://developers.sap.com/germany/tutorials/xsa-create-user-provided-anonymous-service.html

Hi, What happens if you only build the hdbgrants file?

When i try to build the segment .hbdcds file then i get an error which say

The file requieres "db://PRODUCT_SEGMENT" which is not provided y any file

I'm asking about the grants file (created on step 6 in the tutorial you quote), not the hdbcds file. What happens when you right-click on it and build only that file?

the plain.hdbgrants file can i build without errors

Did you find the root of this issue? I have checked the port to be correct, the hdbgrants file builds successfully, I am able to see the tables from the external schema, the synonym file is placed under the src/synonyms folder, but I still receive this error. Any input is much appreciated.

Hi Marius,

maybe you made the same mistake as I and you did not create the file synonyms/plain.hdbsynonym in thesrc folder?
