Android notification types and API payload

Hi all,

I am using notification API provided by mobile service to send notification to Android device. The cloud message service provider is Firebase.

There are two types of notification: Misc and push-channel.

If API payload looks like {"alert":"Dear Customer", "data":"test","sound": ""}, notification received is push-channel.

If API payload looks like {"alert":"Dear Customer", "data":"test","sound": "default"}, notification received is MISC.

These two kinds of notification also have different icons and I cannot see the alert content if type is MISC.

I assumed that the property "sound" would affect how the notification would be sent, for example, changing the payload format of Firebase. Does anyone know something about that?

    Hello Ming Yu,

I understand you have a problem with Notification. Your other questions are also related to the same area.

I am from SAP development who handle the push notification feature.

Can you please open up a ticket (Bug report)? I will be glad to set up a meeting with you and try to resolve the issue.
