QM cost from production order

Hello all,

we use QM during production and purchasing. Semi-finished parts are checked before further use in the next production steps. Also finished parts are checked before they are delivered to the customer. Purchased parts are checked before they be posted to the unrestricted stock.

If the quality is bad and it is an in-house produced material, either additional operations for rework will be included in an existing production order, or a completely new production order will be created.

If the quality is bad and it is a purchased material, a new production order for rework will be created.

The costs of those production orders respectively the operations and materials for rework must be taken over into the QM notification. They should be printed out, split in different types of costs (e.g. material, labour time, transport, production overhead). These outputs will be sent to the vendor to charge him, or in special cases to an insurance company.

Does anybody know how to get the costs of production orders into QM?

Ok well. ABAP is Programming work for developing customized portion for industry or scenario specific. ABAPer can create T code or Form creation, enhancement so on. Please contact in your team for ABAPer (Technical Consultant). Share Tables, Fields for required Printout.

You need to do the testing in Quality. Once found Ok you have to proceed moving production. Contact ABAP consultant with consulting your team. Thanks and all the best.

Thank you very much for your answers! I read the blog “rework in manufacturing” and it was interesting. But unfortunately, not the solution for my request. My issue is not to create a debit note to the vendor but to show the extra-production costs in the notification. And also to print them out with the notification.

@Mahe: could you please give me further information about integration of ABAP?

You have to take help from ABAP for creating the print out for notification taking all required field relevant to the rework production order. Mention what is the actual cost should be and extra cost incurred.

Your requirement is to print the extra work added for particular production order in notification.

The general rule is to have the rework process and the costs collected to a production order, as Rupesh mentioned.

If you want to have a separated cost object for the quality management costs, linked to the quality notification, the option is to use the QM Order to collect the costs. Take a look into the following SAP Help for details:
