Characteristic value in CL02 and CT04 are not in sync

Hi Experts,

I have a strange case in which Characteristic value (when I see in CL02 for any class) is visible but values for the same characteristic in CT04 values are not visible, it shows me blank there is no value I see in CT04.

Anyone faced this issue earlier?

Probably A bit late but check if the overwrite indicator is ticked.

It will be applicable for release strategy, we can maintain characteristic values which is assigned to class in CL20N.

but this was not the original question, which is about values in CT04 and CL02 characteristics

Try to maintain values in CL20N and check in CT04 whether the value updated for characteristic.

Have you tested this yourself? In CT04 you define characteristics and possible values, in CL20N you assign classes to an object and evaluate existing characteristics.

You will never anything done in CL20N evaluation in your CT04 transaction.

Hi Juergen,

I posted the same question again with tag Material management and it allowed me, I have no idea what went wrong earlier because when I tried it gave some error (highlighted in red) for those tag but this time it was a success.I will go ahead and will remove this post.

this happens if you do not define values in CT04 and later use the button for overwrite values in CL02 for your characteristics.

I am also experiencing the same problem.

Characteristic value in CL02 and CT04 are not in sync.

We added new values to the characteristic in CT04, but we go to CL02 to overwrite values.

The values we entered in CT04, do not appear in CL02.

Please Assist.

Hi Juergen,

When we post any question on SCN it asks for primary tag and additional tag, now when I select Material management as primary tag after that I really have no idea what to put on that additional tag (do not really know the significance of it) and If I dont put any additional tag it doesn't allow me to post my question that is the reason I had to select this, but yes I will go through the Youtube video which you shared to understand the "SAP Material Availability" mobile app.

meanwhile could you Plz help me out with the issue which I am facing

Thanks for the feedback - but I can't really believe it as we have plenty discussions that are only posted with the primary tag. And this is actually the most expected way. Additional tags are needed in case your question is cross functional , e.g. a question about a third party order process could be tagged with SD Sales and MM Materials Management

And I also tested it just now and was able to post with just a primary tag.

Can you please send a screenshot about the message that you get if you try to post with a primary tag only?
