I have a scenario in which i have non confirming units for qualitative MIC. I set automatic valuation in config. When I record result and enter the some qty. in non confirming units, automatic valuation appears as Rejected even though I select OK code in result recording
My requirement is that I need to accept that characteristic.System should automatically valuate as accepted.

Aniket
Check the valuation mode in the sampling procedure assigned.
You have 100 - Attributive inspection noncomforming units.
With this selected it doesn't care about the result. It only cares about how many non-conforming units you have regardless. It doesn't really care if you passed or failed the characteristic.
Select a sampling procedure with valuation 400 - Valuation according to char. attribute code. That won't care about how many non-conforming units you have, only the valuation of the result.

hi Craig,
If i change valuation mode in current sampling procedure does it effective in previously made inspection plans. is there any provision to update inspection plans with new sampling procedure or change the valuation mode in current sampling procedure..
Hope your suggestion will help.

Hi,
It might be the selected set data not maintained properly.
Check selected set data in QS51.

No. SAP does not retroactively update inspection lots.
Most of your values are copied master data objects to various fields in QALS, QAVE and other various tables when the inspection lot is created. In some cases you can reset the sample and reread the inspection plan data but you have to do this for each lot. Depending on the status and state of processing, SAP may not let you.
