Plant in component material IW31/IW32

Dear SAP experts,

I want to consult about field " Plant" in tab component IW31/IW32.

1. In SAP standard if I choose component material which have different plant with maintenance planning plant, Is there any error message will be displayed?

2. If there is no error message, how to restrict component plant will be same with maintenance planning plant?

Please help for this case

Hello,

The maintenance planning plant in the order header must not be the same as the plant at operation or compeonent level as per the SAP note 2394552.

You can have your own validation by using the Badi WORKORDER_UPDATE or customer exit IWO10011 Maintenance Order: Customer Enhancement for Component

Yes, program. You can create enhancement in the top of LCOMKFZF for material validation.

IW31/IW32 will trigger error message no CO010 - Material & not found in plant & (check entry)

Thanks for feedback.

But in my case I don't found error message no CO010 - Material & not found in plant & (check entry).

So I can create reservation.

I want to make an error message will be displayed.

Do you know how to make it?

CO010 will trigger if you are using CO module.

Or, you can create enhancement implementation in include LCOMKFZF for validation.
