empty / not rated specifications on WWI printout

Hi community,

there is a new challenge for me, regarding the WWI-template creation. We would like to use a WWI-printout as a technical worksheet for our customers which contains characteristics from substances which come out of the specification workbench (e.g. density, viscosity, tensile strength and so on).

The layout of the printout information should be like a table (see attached Picture).

One pain point is, that characteristics with empty values / no rated don't be appear on the printout, I mean not only the value itselt, but the whole line of this charc. don't be appear on the printout. I understand that with word text (name of characeristic and unity) it isn't possible right, but how can I managed it with WWI-symboles or parameters?

Thanks for ideas and solutions.

Hello Holger,

normally you put a BNG Group around a property or characteristic so if it is empty, nothing will be printed. Remove the BNG and you will get the line of ta characteristic. But if the instance of the property doesn't have a Rating maintained, e.g. PUBLIC, then no output is possible since the generation variant checks for this entry.

Best,

Ralph

Hey Holgler,

(Repeating group)<11BRG013(M,SAP_EHS_1013_028;*)>

(Blank compression(To compress the if there is no value)<13BNG014(*:01G1013028VA)>

(Symbol VAT)<01G1013028VA(;1)[D:Value]>(Characteristics)

End<13ENG014>

End <11ERG013>

Hello Holger

please go on like this;

1.) read online EHS help for WWI topic (check topci as "blank compression" (e.g. https://help.sap.com/doc/saphelp_46c/4.6C/en-US/a7/2875a80a6c11d28a220000e829fbbd/content.htm?no_cac...)

2.) check the many threads here discussing "WWI"; May be start with one of these Blogs:

https://blogs.sap.com/2013/08/25/wwi-for-beginners/

https://blogs.sap.com/2013/12/21/wwi-for-experts/

or e,g, https://blogs.sap.com/2016/05/09/wwi-report-template-guide/

You will find links to threads discussing "WWI topics" of many kind (e.g. like "blank compression"

3.) From my point of view: we have to differentiate "EHS" part (we call this "raw report symbols" and the "logistic" part(we call it "parameter symbols")

I need to check as well the SAP online help. Not sure if "blank compression" will help with "parameter" symbols; but clearly for raw report symbols

I am pretty sure that a solution is possible (based on your explanations) and yes: you can do output as well in a "table" like structure (but honestly: very tricky ! Not because of WWI but becuase of WWI in combination with "WinWord"). The Blog "Wwi report template guide" shows one example of a Table like output

Good luck

C.B.
