Check table content against data elements / domain for data quality in ERP

Hi all,

we are running actually in manytimes in data quality problems in ERP which are omre or less very simple like small letters in columns which should store capital letters only according to the domain. In ERP is it converted in the GUI on display but in BW the quality check failed. To fasten development processes is there a program that e.g. checks the content of a table against the definition in the DDIC to move this check to the beginning of the project?

Cheers,

Nils

Not sure that such a tool would be useful because there are a number of tables with invalid domain definitions (lower case stored in database as expected, although the domain wouldn't accept it).

Actually it makes problems because GUI would change to uppercase if entry is changed and also it could not be find in SE16. In dicussions about data quality it brings problems if the ERP collegues would not find the data. Sounds easy but some could not write SQL in DB02. Also we do not like to correct the data because every busines suser is expecting uppercase letters and if we do not correct the BW distinguesh between both. So e.g. one material but two master data entries because of upper and lowercase.
