External ID number in Add Product Screen for sales Quote/Opportunity/Sales Order etc...

Hello Experts,

We have a scenario, where multiple ERP system is connected to C4C system with Overlapping number ranges in ERP.
For Eg: ERP 1 Material Number Range: 100000- 200000
ERP 2 Material Number Range : 150000-250000
So, we didn't used the Internal ID = External ID concept(iflow Mapping) for Material Replication from ERP to C4C. The Problem is, the users are accustomed to use their ERP number(External ID) in C4C, So when user tries to add the product in Sales quote with the External ID, the internal ID is populated and user confirm the internal ID. Is it possible to show the external ID in fuzzy search and confirm the external ID.

a. It affects all the object, so what is the best way to achieve it.

b. Any Workaround to achieve the internal ID= External ID for the above mentioned Multiple ERP Number range overlapping Scenario.

Hello Liza,

The workaround is to add the external id to be visible on the screen that appears when you click on value help available for products. This should be applicable for most of the objects.
