I am running SAP PowerDesigner 16.6 on a Windows 10 machine.
When I try to reverse engineer a physical model from a SQL Server 2012 database, at the end of the process I get a popup message that PdShell16.exe has stopped working and the program just closes. I have seen that this message has been mentioned in another context when accessing the repository and don't get a sense that SAP feel rushed to fix it in any expedient manner. Seems for others it is intermittent whereas for me it happens all the time, effectively making the product useless. Any ides what it could be or how to go around it?
Hi,
Are you using 32bit or 64bit Powerdesigner?
When you see the popup message, please open dos prompt and type taskmgr.
Select Powerdesigner process. See how much memory it has consumed.
