Hi all,
SAP IDM provide AD connector with which we can control MS AD and MS Exchange Server.
By the latest configuration guide, AD connector support up to WINDOWS Server 2012 R2, AD 2012 R2 and Exchange Server 2010.
Current customer environment is Windows Server 2016, AD 2016 and Exchange Server 2016.
Will current AD connector support these 2016 AD and Exchange smoothly?
or do I need some modification
or AD connector will not work with 2016 versions?
any comments welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Dongsu,
we wanted to migrate to AD 2016 last year and asked SAP if this would be supported. The official answer was that it is not currently supported and it's not in the roadmap.
However, I think that the connector would work, after all it's still a LDAP connexion, doing some pretty basic operations. But in case you had any trouble, SAP wouldn't be able to help.
Try to contact your SAP representative, maybe if many of us ask for 2016 support it would integrate the roadmap?
Best regards,
Clotilde

I haven't had any issues connecting to AD 2016 as it still uses the LDAP connector. However I've only done some basic use cases. If attributes have changed there might be some tweaks needed.
I did not test the password hook.
We are using a Windows Server 2016 for Active Directory and had till now never problems with provisioning, modify and deprovisioning tasks.
Also setting passwords with LDAPs works fine with the connector.
=> SAP IdM - SP6 is in use.
