SFTP Ciphers and Algorithms

Hi Experts,

Can someone please help me here...

We have a dual environment systems in place with PI 7.1 and PO 7.5. Now, some of our SFTP vendors are disabling the ciphers and MAC algorithms that do not meet their security standard for Advantco’s SFTP adapter. Is there a way how to identify all the SAP SFTP channels which had been used by any Ciphers/ Algorithms?

Also, please suggest "what kind of issues may occur" if the Ciphers /Algorithms didn't update in the system within the timeline?

Hello Dileep,

If the ciphers used by the vendors are not supported by the Adapter, the communication between PI/PO and the vendors will fail.

Are you using Advantco SFTP Adapter or SAP SFTP Adapter?

For SAP SFTP Adapter, you can check a list of the supported ciphers in KBA 2344454 - com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Algorithm negotiation fail error in Message Monitoring while using SFTP Receiver Adapter
