java.lang.NullPointerException

After an installation of ESS business package for 4.6C to 4.7 on EP 6.0, a portal runtime error occurred when I ran certain transactions in ESS. But the funny thing is some of the transactions are able to perform if I clicked on them. Anyone can share their views? Thanks.

Hi,

In ESS Iview, have you configured System Identifier? (default=SAP_R3_HUMANRESOURCES)

What Service are you using?

Hi Krishna,

I managed to solve the issue. The reason was because some of the transactions have different IAC key property, for instance: <b>Internal Service Request - SAP_R3_Financials</b>. But does it mean we can change their IAC key properties to SAP_R3_HumanResources? Many thanks for your help Krishna!

Dear Gurus,

I have already received the same issue but when users try After a upgrade of WEB AS JAVA and Portal KM the approval's workflows doesn't work. We select UWL, after we select a task and when we try to execute the task the error message below appears: Exception type:java.lang.NullPointerException Message:null The task is not execute.

We have already applied the corrections described in note 99191I8 but this issue only occurs with some users.

I have already cleared the UWL cache and the users don´t have personalized configurations. Thus i verified the configuration of backend too and everything is ok.

Old version:

Web As Java 6.40 SP14

Components SP14

New version:

Web As Java 6.40 SP18

Components SP18

Windows 2003 Standard SP1

Do you already seem something like this
