Total Opens vs Unique Opens for email reporting

In the reporting "Performance" section of the Campaign tab, there is only one "Opens" metric ("Opened Messages" opened-messages.jpg). In the Campaign Success CDS views, there are 2 ("Opened Messages" and "Unique Opens" campaign-success-opens.jpg), however they show the same value for all campaigns. is "Opened Messages" supposed to be total opens or unique opens? Is there a metric for total opens available anywhere?

    Hello Hillary,

    the two metric "Opened Messages" and "Unique Opens" differ only in case there is a manual import of interaction with type EMAIL_OPENED.

    "Unique Opens" always counts only one open per email.

    "Opened Messages" may also consider manually imported email open interaction additionally.

    In case there is no manual import, both metric will be the same, because for standard email open tracking only one open is count per email. This means in most of the cases "Opened Messages" will have the same value as "Unique Opens".
