Hi Experts,
I have currently implemented some triggers on the SAPABAP1 Schema in the HANA DEV-Environment and looking forward to transport them to the HANA TEST(QS) environment. I read somewhere that it is possible to transport the tables but not triggers, but the blog post was very old and I am wondering if something has now changed?
I am planning to export the tables from the DEV and then import them in the TEST environment using the regular SAP HANA Export/Import functions for catalog objects. Is there any other way I could use to transport the tables from DEV to TEST?
Best Regards,
Regys
I assume you are using XS Classic.
In XS Classic triggers cannot be transported. Tables can be transported if they are created via repository objects. You have a native HANA transport option or the option to transport it via CTS+ (check the documentation here).
With XS Advanced you are able to deploy your triggers to your target systems too (via a multi target application) or to transport them via CTS+ too.

Hi Florian,
thank you for your Reply. Do you mean by XS Classic that the triggers are created in HANA Studio instead of Web IDE of XS Advanced? I exported/imported the tables in the following way:
Can this approach be used to Transport tables (not Packages/DU) from DEV to Test (QS) and then to PROD or it should be used one of those that you mentioned above?
You mentioned that if it was done with XS Advanced, triggers could have been transported also. Could you please give me some Details about this approach?
Thanks a lot,
Regys
