Performance reviews for NEWLY hired employees less than 90 days

Best way to handle new employees during performance and compensation cycles that have been at the company 90 days or less at time of planning. If we want them to be processed in Compensation but not have to complete a performance review form, how have others done that? Upload an "average" rating directly in compensation? Or is there a better way to handle them?

Hey Jane,

There is no "great" workaround for this but I have a few different directions I have implemented for some of my clients.

1. You can upload a PM form for these employees and input an average rating. The downfall to this is their historical data will always have this PM rating. You can certainly put in the comments of the form an explanation but it isn't best practice to store forms like this.

2. You can set a "catch-all" guideline with average % boundaries to still recommend increases for those without a rating. In the guidelines, you would leave the PM rating field blank and build out guidelines normally. Make this the last guideline so it works as a guideline if no other one is met.

Hope this helps!
