Hello,

I have a problem when generating a xml stack in order to plan an S4 Conversion.

I go to "PLAN" and go through the following steps :

Then confirm selection :

"Confirm selection"

Then I have the error :

And in the logs :

The error message says the targte stack could not be calculated and have a message saying "EA-IPPE already retrofited in S4CORE".

I went through the SAP notes but could not find an explanation to this issue.

If you went through this kind of issue and have some information or workaround it would be great.

Thanks and Best regards,

Steve.

Hello Andreas Lichtenau and Boris Rubarth ,

I got the solution provided by SAP support today :

Looking at the MP backend logs , 2 add ons had compatibility issue with S/4 1809 : MOBILE ADD-ON for CRM 6.0 Foundation and EHP4 for SAP SCM 7.0.

EA-IPPE was mapped to EHP4 FOR SAP SCM 7.0 which is not compatible on target but still it was being included in stack xml.

We had to remove these components from the syinfo_SID source using MP ( through edit option in MP ).

Then we were able to plan for the S/4 conversion. Also, we had to choose "Update SAP Netweaver ABAP platform" . And with these steps taken , we were able to have the stack.xml file generated for the S/4 conversion, with the SUM 2.0 included.

Many thanks and best regards,

Steve.

Hi Steve,

side remark: the Maintenance Planner shall now at least offer SUM 2.0 for the conversion (instead of SUM 1.0). I asked a colleague to have a look on that point.

Hi Steve,

I expected that this is raised by the planner, too.
I assume this needs deeper investigation. Please let us know once there are more information provided.

Many thanks and best regards,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

I have opened one, and got a first answer around products that might not b in the right version to go to S4. Like GRC access control 10.1. But the thing is this was not raised by the maintenance planner, and moreover, looking at the information we have, that version of GRC Access control is compatible.

So currently this is a bit blurry 🙂 .

Cheers.

Steve.

Hi Steve,

okay, my initial thought was that there is something wrong with the system components in relation to the installed products, but I cannot see anything strange.
I would propose to raise an incident on BC-UPG-MP component. This issue has to be reproduced and debugged by our consultants in order to find the error. It is hard to guess what is wrong here without reproduction of the problem.

Sorry I cannot add more value,
Andreas
