What do you mean by process? Assuming that yours is MTS, as and when you create a sale order with some x quantity, that quantity would be popped up for production in MD04 and for whatever unrestricted stock is available, system would confirm in sale order which you can see in schedule line tab of sale order. Only for the balance quantity, production requirement would be triggered. Of course, this is based on your MRP settings from PP side, Requirement Class from SD side.
