Hi Jasmine,

this iView parameter is only needed if you want to override the "XML forms default path" which is defined in the KM configuration (usualy /etc/xmlforms) and the "Root path for the project" defined in the XML Forms Builder.

Check out this link for more info about "Priority When Defining Start Folders": http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ec/0c93ba3e687441840bf86633b75938/frameset.htm

Hope this helps,

Robert

PS: You can navigate to the folder /etc/xmlforms to see all created projects (as subfolders).

Hi Jasmine,

As Robert mentioned, the XML form project path is needed only if you want to override the XML forms default path which is defined in the KM configuration <b>/etc/xmlforms</b>.

Once you have created the project and saved it, you need to activate it, so that it is made available across the Repositories. That is you can create new forms of any activated project, in any folder desired. This is done by moving to the folder, clicking Folder > New > Forms, where all the activated Projects ID will get displayed. Hence you need not give the path of project which has been created in XML form builder. All you need to do is to give the path of the folder which you use to store your form's xml files in the

Path to Initially Displayed Folder and

Path to Root Folder for Navigation properties of KM Navigation iview (like /documents/Contents )

Hope this helps.

Hi Shankar,

Thanks for your useful reply. But when I set my Layout set as News Explorer and give "Documents/News" in "Path to Initially Displayed Folder" and "Path to Root Folder for Navigation" properties I get all the projects which have been created in News folder. That is all the projects I create in XML form builder by default get stored in this folder but now I want only my project(my XML forms) in that iView. So my question is how to Link my own XML forms in that KM navigation iView?...what path should I give?..do I need to create my own subfolder in News folder?...if yes then how to do it?

Thanks in advance,

Jasmine.

Hi Jasmine,

To make your project link alone visible, try this

To make the global setting for the availability of XML forms, choose Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Global Setting.

To make specific settings for folders, choose Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Folder Settings.

You need to give the name(s) of those XML project(s) you want to display in the Forms to Include parameter in the Settings for Folders.

Hi Shankar,

Thanks, I tried that Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Folder Settings...

and in App_All_Public I included my project name in "forms to include" and got the desired result. But If I create a new entry i m suppose to give folder path -- Im still not clear what folder path to give.

Say my project name is "bulletinBoard" and it is stored in News folder by default, what should be my folder path?

Jasmine.

Hi Jasmine,

I believe your query is to know where the news items are stored. This location can actually be decided by you. Where ever you want to place the new entry, navigate to that folder, clicking <b>Folder > New > Forms</b>, choose your project form from the list of all activated projects, a new window with an empty form appears, fill in data and save.

This form will get stored as .xml file in the specified window.

Project name does not matter, only the location where you create new items entry matters.

In your case the folder path must be :<b>/documents/News</b>
