Standard FIFO when receiving goods from client

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to have FIFO logic when we receive/pick raw material from our clients?

We are doing it on our side, with our products, but we check that some of our clients no.

We want to control if we had received "x" material in date 10.03.2019 with a product validation date of 10.03.2020, and we get the same "x" material in new date 15.03.2019 with a product validation date less than the previously 10.03.2020.

Is it possible to do it on standard way?

Yes its quite possible and available in standard feature of Warehouse management where we defined the stock put away strategy "FIFO" or "LIFO" as per our requirement, please check with Warehouse team!

Thank you for your reply. We have the putaway strategy "FIFO" implemented, but for our products.

Is there a way for when we receive the raw material? Not when we send, but when we receive.

For example: when we receive the raw material, control the production dates of the provider. If it's older then the last (same product) show a message.

The solutions I have found its by using user-exit, I was trying to avoid it.

So in standard system we picked the GR date as base date to map scenario for FIFO method, but in your case as you mentioned its for production date, which I believe not having difference of 2-4 days of GR Date, so you instead of entering GR date you can enter production date while posting the GR, so system will calculate the same based upon your inputs!
