Hi Gurus,
Client's customer master is set to partial delivery with maximum number of partial deliveries of 2 with over delivery tolerance of 14% and under delivery tolerance of 5%.
Once the warehouse picks the material and PGI's the delivery for over 14% the sales order status is automatically marked completed. However, once the warehouse picks and PGI's the material for under 5% the sales order remains open as being processed.
Order is on for 65,000 LB and based on the tolerances set. The order closes with 14% over delivery, but the sales order does not close for under delivery of 5% of 65,000 LB.
What can we do for the sales order to complete with a under delivery tolerance of 5%.
Thank you
Hi Uma
Nice question. I think you will find that the settings for under delivery means that you may need to set the number of partial deliveries to 1 if you want the under delivery tolerance to work and close the order item automatically. The reason why it does not close is that it is still expecting a 2nd delivery here - to meet the full expected quantity given the quantity is BELOW the tolerance. It closes automatically for the overdelivery because it has already surpassed the expected quantity.
Unfortunately, the only answer here would be to reduce the max number of partial deliveries to 1 so that when the under delivery of 5% takes place the order item is closed, otherwise the system will wait for a 2nd delivery.
Hope this helps!
Kind Regards
Phil Cooley
