Equipment Trancking for Event management In SAP ByDesign

Hi

Hopefully, someone will be able to advise please.

The customer is an event management company. They have equipment which they transport from their warehouse to the event center and back again once the event is finished. These Item are recognised as assets and are therefor subject to depreciation and hence would be procured as an individual material creating an asset.

I think it would then be necessary to create an equipment Resource, to be assigned to the project.(I am looking at using a multi customer project)

Requirements

1. To be able to depreciate as per normal asset processes

2. When procuring these assets e.g. a load of poles (Which they use to construct booths at the events), they do not want to manage these by qty as they group them together as one asset with an occasional amount write off instead of a qty write off.

3. To be able to track the in and out of these items from and to the warehouse

4. To be able to track the delivery of these items to the event location (thinking potentially of a roaming site)

To clarify the above for an equipment resource, I we go that route, how can we assign an equipment resource to a project?
