C4C Is CSV upload file target group with External ID instead of Internal ID possible?

Hi,

I would like to create a target group based upon external ID's. Is that possible?

In C4C it looks as if you can only upload a CSV file for a target group with internal ID's

Can anybody share an example file with multiple lines that works? I just keep on getting the error messages.

Reason for wanting to upload the external id's is that we do selections in SAP ECC. The SAP ECC ID is know in our C4C environment as an external ID. Reason is that e.g. customers need to be informed on a product they received based on the delivery information, which we do not have in C4C.

It would also be great if in the account screen multiple values can be added at once (not one by one) in the account or external account ID field, then click start and create a target group from the account list.

Please share your experiences.

Hi,

The CSV upload file looks as follows

1018999,1018999

1018999,1018999

etc.

As for my situation external IDs from a backend are leading, i have set up a report with the join data sources of account contact data and contact master data. Like this i have per account - contact combination the external and internal ID's, besides i have my extension fields for selection purposes.

We do not longer start in the customer / contact overview, but the report has becoming our starting point. After the selection has been made we open the report in excel for further limit the selection, and then copy the column with account and contact id's. Based on these two columns the csv is created and saved for futher upload in the target group.
