Not able to access backend catelogs from Fiori launch pad in SAP cloud platform

Hi All,

I have a scenario to expose onpremise sap UI5 application to cloud Fiori launch pad. In Fiori Configuration cockpit of SAP cloud platform I choose 'Backend systems' option in 'Apps' section inorder to access backend catelogs. I am able to see my backend name listed here as shown below,

But when I click on the backend name I get the error message "can't access backend system" as shown below,

Cloud connector configuration and destinations seem fine because I am able to consume odata service from the same back end for one of the cloud applications.

Please suggest if something specific needs to be done in order to sort this issue out.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi everyone,

you need to active following ressources in the Cloud Connector and the respective backend system:

  • /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/
  • /sap/bc/ui2/
  • /sap/bc/sui_tm_mm_rest
  • /sap/bc/webdynpro/
  • /sap/iwbep
  • /sap/opu/odata/

Best regards,
Sebastian

Is the Cloud Connector configured properly?

You're using an OnPremise connection type that refers to a Cloud Connector resource.

Yes, I guess that's why I am able to consume odata services from onpremise gateway system.

Please, check you cloud connector configuration, It is possible that not all subpaths are allowed

Thanks, I would check on it, but if I wish not to allow all subpaths in production system, is there any specific subpath related to 'backend catelog service' so that I can allow only that.

Hi,

Cloud you provide information about your configuration releated with destinations? Is possible that the parameters are incorrect.

Hi,

Thanks for responding.

Attaching the destination configuration. As I mentioned I am able to consume odata services from the same back end for UI5 applications. Only problem is with accessing backend catelogs. I assume there must be some specific configuration needs to be done to enable this. Please advice.

Thanks,
