How to Insert multiple attachment in Test Step data - Focused Build

Hello pals,

I had a new requirement from business to convert document based test cases into focused build test cases in new SOLMAN 7.2.

There are few test steps in word document which has some pre-requisites in *.PNG images. When we converting into focused build in SOLMAN 7.2, it allows to add single attachment, if there a case to attach more than a file in single test is not possible.

Do we have other options to add multiple attachments in every test step? As an work around, i have proposed to add multiple attached into a single word document and attach as it allows only one attachment to be possible in every single test step.

Request you to share your thoughts how to proceed with multiple attachment into every single step.

Appreciate your help on this because this is an urgent demand.

As an alternative you can break down test steps into sub-steps and attach a document to each sub-step

Every Test Step test case also has attachment section where multiple attachments can be added.

I understand your requirement is multiple attachment specific to a test step, as a work around you can use attachment tab and name the files as Test Step 1 , Test Step 2 etc to understand that the attachment are relevant for Test Step 1, 2 etc.

Both answers from Ajay and Yvo are correct.

I would add that first you have to think on the usability of having multiple PNG files added to a test step in a Test Steps Test Case. I mean, would you really like to have to open PNG files e.g. 5 images to know what you should do, with no text or explanation? Why don't you paste those files in a word file and add some details to better guide the users?
